Job Description

Job Title:
Project Coordinator - Custom Metal Fabrication The Project Coordinator supports a custom metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing environment that delivers high-quality, project-based steel products for infrastructure and industrial applications. In this role, you coordinate communication between engineering, production, and customers to ensure projects move efficiently from initial drawings through fabrication and delivery. You help keep projects on schedule, maintain accurate documentation, and support the successful execution of steel fabrication and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities Support Project Managers in planning and executing steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing projects from initial drawings through delivery. Coordinate the flow of technical information between engineering, the fabrication shop, vendors, and customers to keep all stakeholders aligned. Review technical drawings and blueprints and assist in identifying discrepancies, missing details, or potential issues that could impact fabrication. Track project timelines, submittals, approvals, and fabrication release schedules to support on-time project execution. Serve as a liaison between production, detailing, and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and prompt issue resolution. Assist with job setup activities, including creating and maintaining project documentation, records, and tracking tools. Communicate project status updates to internal teams and external partners, and proactively escalate potential delays or issues. Maintain organized documentation, including drawings, RFIs, and project files, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easily accessible. Coordinate with internal teams to support on-time production and delivery of fabricated steel products. Contribute to a collaborative, production-driven environment by supporting continuous communication between project management, engineering, and shop teams. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in project coordination, manufacturing, or construction. Experience in steel fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or construction preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to coordinate information among engineering, production, vendors, and customers. Attention to detail in reviewing drawings, tracking schedules, and maintaining documentation. Exposure to shop operations, production scheduling, or estimating is a plus Familiarity with project management or ERP systems. Work Environment This is an onsite role based in a fabrication facility in Grove City, OH. You work in a collaborative environment alongside project management, engineering, and shop teams in a hands-on, production-driven setting. The role is closely connected to shop operations and steel fabrication activities, requiring regular interaction with both office and production floor personnel in an industrial manufacturing environment.
