Job Description
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in coordinating projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving and leadership abilities, as well as technical knowledge to work effectively with clients, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities Manage all assigned steel erection/fabrication projects to ensure they are completed profitably and with a high client satisfaction level. Review and analyze blueprints, specifications other documentation to accurately understand the work of the contract and the estimated budget. Coordinate with field operations team to understand equipment and material needs, prepare purchase orders and subcontracts to support the field team. Set up and manage projects in the project management software. Regularly meet with clients and the operations teams to ensure projects are progressing smoothly. Prepare reports including productivity analyses and financial cost projections at regular intervals. With admin assistance, prepare client billings and ensure proper cashflow for the project. Interact professionally with clients, partners and vendors in order to develop rapport and properly service their needs. Qualifications Four-year degree in Construction Management or an engineering related field of study highly preferred. Other degrees may be considered based on industry experience. Understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection process. At least five (5) years as commercial construction project manager. Structural steel experience is preferred but not necessary. PM experience from General Contracting and other specialty contractors are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret construction documents. Experience with Bluebeam, MS Office Suite essential. Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) a plus. Excellent organizational, written and communication skills. Superb customer relationship skills.
