Parks Drilling Co. is a leading foundation drilling contractor specializing in drilled shafts and flatwork foundations for the electrical market. With a proven track record in high-quality foundation solutions, we are expanding our expertise in below-grade substation construction to support major utility and infrastructure projects.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in below-grade substation and transmission foundation construction. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of project execution, from estimating and pre-construction planning to field operations and project closeout. This role requires technical expertise in deep foundations, drilled shafts, concrete placement, excavation, and structural coordination within substation environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight & Execution:

Manage multiple below-grade substation/drilled shaft & transmission foundation projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion. Lead all phases of project management, including bidding, planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout. Develop and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and change orders. Oversee deep foundation installations, concrete foundations, grounding grids, and below-grade electrical coordination.

Field Coordination & Safety:

Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to ensure efficient project execution. Enforce safety compliance in accordance with company and industry regulations. Conduct site visits, progress meetings, and inspections to monitor work quality and productivity. Identify and mitigate site risks, including geotechnical challenges and environmental factors.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for utility clients, engineers, and subcontractors. Lead project meetings, progress reporting, and issue resolution. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to drive business growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

5+ years of project management experience in below-grade substation construction, deep foundations, or heavy civil infrastructure. Strong knowledge of drilled shaft foundations, excavation, formwork, rebar placement, and concrete construction. Experience managing utility projects and working within substation environments. Proficiency in project management software (ComputerEase, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, etc.). Understanding of OSHA regulations, NESC standards, and utility construction best practices. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
