Job Description
Job Summary Platinum Arch Manufacturing & Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee industrial steel storage tank fabrication and construction projects from contract award through final completion. This position is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while coordinating engineering, fabrication, procurement, logistics, field operations, and customer communication. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, experience in construction or industrial manufacturing, and the ability to successfully deliver projects safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget. Duties Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of industrial tank fabrication and construction projects. Develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating engineering, purchasing, fabrication, shipping, and field construction activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the duration of each project. Review contracts, specifications, engineering drawings, and customer requirements to ensure project success. Manage project budgets, monitor job costs, forecast project performance, and implement cost-control measures. Coordinate with engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure efficient project execution. Prepare and process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation. Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve scheduling, production, or field issues. Conduct project meetings with customers and internal teams to communicate project status and key milestones. Ensure projects comply with company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable safety requirements. Assist with project closeout, punch list completion, final invoicing, and turnover documentation. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve project execution and customer satisfaction. Skills Experience managing construction, steel fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or heavy industrial projects. Strong knowledge of project scheduling, coordination, and construction management principles. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, contracts, and technical specifications. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong financial aptitude with experience managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and maintaining profitability. Effective leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and build strong customer relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with ERP, project management, or scheduling software is preferred. Ability to travel occasionally to project sites as needed. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience.
