At River City Construction, our internship program is designed to give students meaningful, hands-on experience while building the foundation for a long-term career in construction. As a Project Management Intern , you'll work alongside RCC Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Operations team members to experience how projects move from planning through construction and completion. You won't just observe you'll have opportunities to contribute to active projects, learn from experienced construction professionals, and gain exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a Project Engineer. Our goal is to develop future construction professionals while building strong roots within the communities and markets we serve . Through real project experience, mentorship, and relationships with our teams, interns can begin building the knowledge and local connections that position them for long-term success at RCC and within the construction industry.
Internship experiences may include:
Supporting project scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor/vendor coordination Assisting with RFIs, submittals, project documentation, daily reports, and progress tracking Participating in project meetings, jobsite walks, and safety activities Working alongside Project Managers and Field Operations Learning how project teams manage budgets, schedules, quality, and client expectations Using construction technology and project management tools Helping identify and solve real project challenges Gaining exposure to RCC's clients, trade partners, projects, and the local construction market At RCC, an internship is more than a summer job.
