Project Manager Job Description:
The Project Manager is the direct link between the sales team and the production team. This is a client-facing role that acts as both a main contact for clients as well as support for the sales and production teams throughout the pre-production and production phases. They are responsible for ensuring that everyone is aligned with the job requirements as well as keeping on schedule for each build. We're looking for someone who can operate independently in a design-build setting who has a passion and understanding of woodwork and metal fabrication. No two projects are alike and we are looking for someone who loves to be a technical liaison and trusted advisor for clients as well as a resource for internal teams.Required Skills:
Strong understanding of shop and architectural drawings Great communication skills Strong organisational and analytical skills Ability to work in an independent setting with little supervision Confidence speaking to clients of all backgrounds (executives and mom & pops alike) Great spatial reasoning Strong vendor coordination Comfortable with uncertainty Prior experience with online project management software (Trello, monday.com, Jira, etc.) Minimum Associates degree; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.Nice to haves:
Prior experience in one of the following: Custom Fabrication - the more custom the better! High-end Millwork Architectural Interiors Furniture or specialty wood manufacturing Familiarity with at least one computer modeling software (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Fusion 360, etc.) Architecture, product design, or interior design background PMP Certification a plus Prior experience in the luxury furniture industry is a plus, but ability to learn quickly and ask questions in uncertain situations is a must . We're looking for someone who wants to build relationships with clients and vendors alike and are comfortable representing the company in client-facing meetings. Typical Responsibilities Pre-Bid & Scope Review bid invitation, perform architectural takeoffs and categorize build opportunities Identify site constraints, installation requirements, and scope risks ○ (ex. elevators, narrow hallways, power outlet locations) Reach out to subcontractors as needed and coordinate subcontractor pricing Work with sales for pricing / RFI (request for information) meetings with clients. ○ Do a final check with sales for all estimate wording and official responsibilities before the client reviews initial pricing Client Alignment & Design Work with sales to present bids and establish project timeline Produce parsable shop drawings and manage client revisions Create cable pathways and ensure all AV and power integrations work in thedesign Secure final client approval on all drawings Scheduling, Procurement & Production Lead all internal team meetings and keep meeting notes Update internal project management software with important dates and jobdetails Develop and manage project schedules○ Check in with production to make sure no change orders / timeline adjustments are on the horizon Work with VP of Operations to coordinate with subcontractors and procure all required raw materials and hardware Oversee fabrication through direct communication with production team ○ Alert clients of any adjustments or changes throughout production. Work with sales and keep proper documentation of production work. • Conduct onsite visits as needed and shop QC walk-throughs to maintain timeline and quality Delivery, Installation & Close-Out Work with VP of Operations and Showroom Manage to coordinate logistics and installation scheduling Prepare installation instructions and submit to clients prior to shipping Support onsite installation and subcontractor deliveries as needed Document final details of project and log any adjustments or notes inPMsoftware Pay:
