Job Description

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Project Coordinator to support traffic control and construction projects. In this role, you'll plan and schedule traffic control setups, coordinate with field crews, and ensure safe, compliant work zones for roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include interpreting traffic control plans, tracking project progress and materials, assisting with estimates and documentation, and communicating with contractors and agencies. You'll work in a safety-first, team-oriented environment with strong training and growth opportunities while supporting critical transportation and community safety projects. Responsibilities Plan and schedule traffic control for construction and utility projects Coordinate with field crews to deploy signs, cones, barriers, and pavement markings Interpret project plans, traffic control plans, and specifications Communicate with contractors, agencies, and internal teams on job requirements Monitor active work zones for safety, compliance, and productivity Track project progress, materials, and equipment usage Assist with cost estimates, job setup, and closeout documentation Support safety protocols, training, and incident reporting Maintain accurate records, reports, and project documentation Assist with logistics, dispatch, and resource allocation for multiple projects Required Skills Traffic control planning Construction project coordination Reading plans and specifications Work zone safety practices DOT and MUTCD compliance knowledge Scheduling and logistics Communication with contractors and agencies Documentation and reporting Basic cost estimating Pavement marking and work zone setup knowledge
