The Project Manager is a front-line employee with direct customer contact; and is a valued, essential element of M3T success. People skills are vital for effective customer relationship management and decision-making. Strong communication, great attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for successfully working with technicians, clients, and in house staff. In addition to people & communication skills, the ability to be proactive, identify areas of opportunity for improved efficiency, as well as strong customer service skills will be needed for a successful
PM. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end execution of assigned projects and ad hoc client requests. The PM serves as the central point of coordination between customers, field technicians, sales, finance, and operations, with full responsibility for schedule, resources, communication, quality, and system accuracy. Q360 serves as the system of recording. if it is not documented in Q360, it is considered incomplete.
QUALIFICATIONS
1 or more years project management experience Previous experience in security system design, implementation, and maintenance preferred Associates Degree or higher (
- if experienced, degree requirement is waived) Conceptual knowledge in the following areas: Access Control / Power Door / Gates / CCTV / Intercom / Physical (Environmental) Security / Security Architecture and DesignMechanical aptitude and understanding Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment Attention to detail in all forms of communication Possess fluent knowledge of office technology platforms Strong Innovative, Motivational, and Proactive Personality Strong verbal and written communications skills Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced working environment Able to work dynamically within a diverse group of geographically distributed team
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES 1.
Project Ownership Own assigned work from intake through closeout. Ensure scope, schedule, resources, and materials are clearly defined and actively managed. Drive projects to completion on time, within budget, and to M3T standards. Anticipate issues and take corrective action before they impact customers or technicians. 2. Planning & Scheduling Create a Gantt Chart for every job within 48 hours of assignment and maintain it throughout the lifecycle of the project. Ensure site visits are scheduled and completed for all applicable projects. Verify technician's certifications and site access requirements before scheduling. Schedule technicians, subcontractors, and support resources daily to: Maximize productivity and revenue, Minimize downtime and rework Prevent over-utilization of key technicians to avoid tech. burn-out Adjust schedules proactively based on job progress, field feedback, and priorities. Remain available when field technicians are scheduled (on-call responsibility). 3. Materials & Logistics Request, track materials and equipment for assigned projects
- to ensure alignment with chedules and scope. Monitor delivery and accuracy of materials
- to confirm they meet project specifications and accounting requirements (task tracking). Coordinate resolution of returns, replacements, or discrepancies
- with internal teams.
Q360 SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain complete, accurate, and timely data in Q360 at all stages of the project lifecycle. Follow established workflows and PM functions exactly as trained. Ensure all time bills, schedules, notes, documents, and closeout items are entered and current. Use Q360 data to track progress, identify risks, and support billing and reporting. Support audits and reviews through accurate system records.
CUSTOMER & SALES COORDINATION 1.
Customer Communication Contact customers within 24 hours of project or work order creation. Set expectations clearly regarding schedule, access, and deliverables. Maintain communication during execution and follow up after completion. Resolve customer concerns promptly or escalate when necessary. 2. Sales & Account Management Support Work closely with Account Executives the Finance Manager. Provide accurate field feedback and documentation.
FINANCIAL & ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Track project progress and financial performance in coordination with the Finance Manager. Support progress billing and final invoicing through accurate documentation. Complete required customer reports, including established project billing. Ensure project data supports external audits and internal reviews.
QUALITY, COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT
Perform quality control checks during and after project execution. Confirm installations meet M3T standards and contractual requirements. Ensure awareness of and compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, ICRA, HIPAA, government). Protect confidentiality of client, employee, and M3T information at all times. Integrate safety SOPs and protocols into all aspects of labor.
TEAM COLLABORATION & CULTURE
Work collaboratively with technicians, operations, sales, and leadership. Support other PMs and operational needs approved through the Director of Operations. Hold self and others accountable to M3T standards. Earn and maintain the trust and respect of colleagues through reliability, accuracy, and professionalism
AUTHORITY & EXPECTATIONS
The PM has authority to coordinate schedules, materials, and day-to-day execution decisions within approved scope and budget. Scope change, cost impact, or major schedule risk must be escalated promptly. This is an on-call role tied to field operations and customer commitments. Maintain technician safety as the primary focus in all program execution.
TRAVEL:
This position requires travel for training, customer support, site visits, and other business-related activities. Travel is a mandatory component of the role. Unless otherwise specified, employees are responsible for arranging and covering their own transportation to and from travel locations within a 75-mile radius of their assigned office. Flexibility and reliability in meeting travel requirements are essential to successfully performing the duties of this position.
