Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Product Manager and Operations Manager, the Project Coordinator works with customers, Sales team, and internal teams such as Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to support projects related to the Product Lines of . Support would include specifying the scope of work to be quoted, overseeing projects to assure the scope of work is being fulfilled to meet customer requirements, providing technical support throughout the duration of the project, monitoring and communicating the status of projects while providing direction to keep the project on track.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specify the scope of work for projects related to the Product Lines which includes providing material components and labor estimates for jobs that need to be quoted. Assist Sales by making joint customer visits to effectively specify and communicate the scope of work being requested. Responsible for managing projects from beginning to end. Ensure parts are ordered for jobs in a timely manner. Monitor labor and material costs on projects to assure projects stay on budget. Communicate project status with all teams during weekly meetings while providing direction to keep projects on time. Work with Engineering and Purchasing to establish part lists and pricing for components used in projects. Coordinate any product improvements with Engineering. Establish and manage relationships with key suppliers which includes visiting them from time to time to assure quality and performance needs are being met. Coordinating with Sales, schedule project review visits with the customer throughout the project and communicate any changes in the scope of work to both Sales and internal team members. Assist the Production team to troubleshoot any problems or issues. Assist Engineering and Purchasing to ensure all projects are documented properly. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc. Perform related duties as assigned. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Three (3) years of experience working in an industrial setting. Three (3) years of experience in project planning. Performs work under minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
