Job Title:
Architectural Project Captain / Project Architect Job Description We are looking for a motivated and skilled Architectural Project Captain / Project Architect who possesses excellent knowledge of building codes for multi-family projects. This role requires proficiency in Revit and a strong working knowledge of construction document preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience with mixed-use, multi-family, and commercial projects, with a preference for those who have been involved in affordable housing and charter school projects. This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Manage multi-family, commercial, and NYCHA projects, particularly within NYC. Utilize REVIT and AutoCAD for project management and design. Oversee historic preservation and rehabilitation projects. Coordinate multiple filings and manage drawing sets for large-scale preservation and rehabilitation projects across the NY Metro Area. Lead a team of junior architects and consultants. Maintain and develop client relationships while ensuring project deadlines are met. Conduct site visits to evaluate field conditions and devise practical solutions. Produce drawings and specifications for the renovation and restoration of numerous apartments throughout New York City and the region. Travel to project sites as needed to take measurements and capture site photographs of existing conditions. Design, detail, and draft plans with precision. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field. 5-7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Revit. Strong leadership qualities and technical BIM responsibilities. Experience with multi-family projects, particularly in the Hudson Valley area. Knowledge of NYCHA and affordable housing projects. Familiarity with historic preservation and rehabilitation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in design development and project management. Familiarity with construction administration and existing conditions assessment. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Suffern, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
