Role Description HCG is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to support our MEP project operations. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow in commercial construction management, with a focus on scheduling, coordination, document control, and team collaboration. This role offers exposure to major construction projects and a clear path to long-term career advancement. Qualifications Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required Comfortable working in both office and/or construction site environments 1-3 years of experience in construction (internships, co-op, or full-time) Project Management experience Willingness to learn the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) trades Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What You'll Do:

Support Project Managers in the day-to-day administration of commercial construction projects Track project schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders Review construction documents and Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination Help manage project schedules, budgets, and vendor communications Attend site meetings and collaborate with project managers and field teams Learn industry tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Gain insight into procurement, compliance, safety, and quality control

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

A degree (or expected graduation) in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not explicitly required. Interest in MEP systems and construction management Strong written and verbal communication skills A team-first attitude with a desire to grow and learn Ability to work both on-site and remotely in a hybrid format
