Job Description

BUILDING DESIGN & PROJECT COORDINATOR
Avail Technical Design Group (ATDG) is seeking a motivated and organized Building Design & Project Coordinator to support residential, commercial, and development projects. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with the Founder on a wide variety of building design, project coordination, client support, and business development activities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in building design, architecture, drafting, interior design, construction management, project coordination, or related fields who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wearing multiple hats within a growing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESIGN SUPPORT
Assist with residential and commercial building design projects. Support floor plan development, layout studies, and space planning activities. Assist with design revisions and implementation of client feedback. Prepare and incorporate drawing markups and redlines. Support preparation of permit and construction document packages. Assist with existing condition documentation and field verification information. Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to support project development. Coordinate design information between clients, consultants, and project team members. Assist with development of conceptual layouts, site plans, and feasibility studies. Support preparation of presentation materials and design exhibits.
CLIENT COORDINATION
Participate in client meetings and project discussions. Assist clients in identifying project goals, requirements, and design preferences. Document meeting notes and distribute meeting summaries. Follow up with clients regarding outstanding information, decisions, and action items. Assist in preparing project updates and progress reports. Help coordinate project meetings, calls, and design reviews. Support communication between clients and consultants. Maintain a professional and responsive client experience throughout the project lifecycle.
PROJECT COORDINATION
Assist with project setup and project numbering procedures. Maintain project files, folders, and document organization systems. Track project schedules, milestones, and deadlines. Coordinate activities with subcontractors, consultants, and project partners. Assist with permit applications, agency coordination, and project submittals. Maintain project trackers, logs, and status reports. Assist with development and implementation of company standards and procedures. Support quality control reviews and document management activities. Help identify and resolve project coordination issues before they impact schedules. Assist with onboarding new projects and maintaining project records.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS SUPPORT
Assist with CRM updates and opportunity tracking. Help maintain client, consultant, and lead databases. Assist with proposal preparation and follow-up activities. Support networking and business development initiatives. Assist with marketing efforts, social media content, and company outreach. Research potential clients, projects, and market opportunities. Assist with development of company templates, standards, and workflows. Support implementation of new software, systems, and operational improvements. Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and scalability. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with AutoCAD required. Revit experience preferred. Background in building design, architecture, interior design, construction management, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Interest in residential, commercial, and development-related projects.
POSITION DETAILS
Part-Time (10-20 hours per week initially) Opportunity for increased hours as workload grows Remote / Hybrid Flexible Schedule $20.00 per hour Opportunity to grow with the company and take on increased responsibilities over time all team members.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
