Part‑time (20-30 hrs/week, flexible) Potentially we could do full time, but can work accordingly to the students schedule Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Construction Management Intern to support active residential construction projects. This internship provides hands‑on experience in vendor coordination, materials and labor bidding, cost tracking, permitting, and project management. The intern will work closely with ownership and project leads and gain real‑world exposure to how residential construction projects are executed from planning through completion. This role is ideal for students interested in construction management, real estate, operations, business, or project management. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with material suppliers and subcontractors Assist with labor and materials bidding and vendor communication Track project cost per square foot (cost/sq ft) using internal tracking sheets Create and maintain material cost trackers for active projects Support day‑to‑day project management activities Schedule and call in utility locates (Gopher State One Call / 811) Assist with permit applications, tracking, and documentation Support lead tracking and follow‑up related to incoming project inquiries Maintain organized records for projects, vendors, and pricing What You'll Gain Real‑world experience in residential construction operations Exposure to vendor negotiations, estimating, and cost controls Hands‑on project management experience A strong resume and portfolio foundation for construction, real estate, or operations roles Mentorship from an active business owner managing real projects Preferred Qualifications Interest in construction, real estate, project management, or business operations Strong organization and communication skills Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks Reliable transportation for occasional job site or city office visits (if applicable)
Pay:
$300.00 - $600.00 per week
