Job Description

Job Summary:
United Environmental Services Inc. is growing again! We are a full-service environmental consulting firm established in the year 2000 headquartered in Schuylkill Haven. We offer a flexible hybrid work environment, with remote work opportunities based on project responsibilities and scheduling needs. We work on a wide variety of exciting projects involving the investigation, characterization and remediation of sites with contaminated soil, groundwater, vapor and sediment; due diligence investigation and reporting; water quality monitoring; compliance and risk assessment / risk management for commercial and governmental clients. We are looking for a mid-to upper-level Environmental Project Manager with at least five years' environmental experience to join our team to manage both existing and new projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for writing proposals, field work scheduling and oversight, site characterization, remediation, and reporting, while keeping health, safety and budgetary considerations in mind.
Typical Activities:
SCR, RACR, RAP, Final Report and other regulatory report preparation, review, and submittal. Soil, groundwater, surface water and vapor field sampling activities conducted in a safe and timely manner. AST/UST system closure oversight & site assessments conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards. Remedial testing activities such as slug testing, specific capacity testing, pumping tests, and SVE tests. Remediation, including design, system operation and maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs as necessary. Completion of contaminant fate and transport analyses and risk assessments. Detailed documentation of fieldwork and report preparation. PADEP and USTIF Correspondence. Management of subcontractors. QA/QC of technical reports.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental sciences or related field. Licensed Professional Geologist Pennsylvania a plus but not required. Experience in field data collection, data review and preparation of reports. Minimum of Five years of environmental consulting experience. Knowledge of Pennsylvania environmental regulations, remediation and reporting requirements. Regulatory experience with PADEP Storage Tank and Act 2 Program is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
OSHA HAZWOPER
