Label Designer

Position Summary- The basic function of the Label Designer is to ensure that the artwork and design of clinical labeling jobs are produced in an efficient manner in conjunction with the criteria established by AWT Healthcare Labels' customers and the Project Management team. Experience/Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree required Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Strong proficiency in MS Office and at least 1-year experience in Adobe InDesign. Training Specific training is given for the first thirty days but not limited to those thirty days. Shadowing of Label Design Supervisor or designee for at least thirty days. On-going GMP training. On-going SOP training will be conducted as needed. Ongoing Safety training, as needed. All training seminars are to be documented and signed by instructor and attendees. All new procedures will have a formal training session prior to being utilized by AWT Healthcare Labels. Responsibilities - Include, but not limited to: Reports directly to the Supervisor, Label Design. Accountable for label design for assigned projects. Review proofing queue with Project Management Team. Review design layouts. Assist in training of new hires. Strong communication with Manager, Project Management, Product Design Coordinator and Quality Assurance Department regarding status of pending proofs/orders. Maintain specific order of job files, updating of the project management database. Preparation of proof copy and related files and documentation for customer approval utilizing company layout and printing software. Completion of all associated project paperwork. Preparation of artwork for printing press. Preparation of leaflet artwork for digital printing. Acceptable Attendance Other duties assigned by Manager, Project Management and Supervisor, Label Design. Measures of Performance - All orders are provided to the Proof Inspection and Artwork Inspection queues on time and properly executed. All departmental operating procedures are being followed. Errors in the work are held to an acceptable level. Keeping the Supervisor, Label Design advised of any important issues that the Label Designer is responsible for.
