Job Description:
PMO Specialist - Boston, MA We are seeking an experienced Project Management Oversight Specialist to support a large IT organization within a leading financial services firm in Boston, MA. This individual will oversee project data, financials, resources, vendor agreements, and program reporting while working closely with project teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective program oversight and execution. This is a 6-month contract position that will pay $40-42/hour (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model in their Boston office.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project data across the program. Partner with project teams to define, track, and maintain deliverables, milestones, and status reporting. Monitor project financials and budgets to ensure initiatives remain within approved funding. Support hiring approvals, resource forecasting, and resource allocation across projects. Facilitate fixed-price contracts and ensure proper setup within the vendor management system. Manage fixed-price and time-and-materials contract renewals. Maintain accurate team rosters and resource information. Track software licenses and vendor agreements from initial procurement through renewal. Support the annual and ongoing budgeting process. Conduct ad hoc resource, financial, and project analysis as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program objectives, deliverables, and timelines are met.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Program Management Oversight, preferably within a large IT organization. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and functions. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience working with project data and financial analysis. Experience with Clarity (Program Management), Beeline (Vendor Management), and Oracle Purchasing is a plus.
