Role Summary:
The Production Manager - Exhibits & Events is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exhibit programs, trade shows, branded activations, and live events. This role manages project timelines, budgets, logistics, asset management, and event execution while working closely with Client Services Managers, production teams, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery. This position will serve as the primary operational lead for assigned programs and events, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Program Management Manage multiple projects and events simultaneously from kickoff through completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, budgets, and critical milestones. Coordinate internal resources and external vendors to ensure successful execution. Track project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and solutions. Support project closeout activities, reporting, and post-event evaluations. Exhibit & Asset Management Maintain oversight of client-owned exhibit properties, event assets, and inventory. Coordinate storage, refurbishment, maintenance, and deployment of exhibit assets. Identify opportunities to maximize asset utilization and reduce program costs. Ensure accurate inventory records and asset tracking. Event Operations Coordinate logistics including transportation, shipping, labor, installation, dismantle, and onsite support. Manage relationships with show contractors, venues, vendors, and service providers. Support trade shows, conferences, meetings, outdoor events, and branded activations. This is primarily an office role but may require participation in onsite event execution as needed. Budget & Vendor Management Develop and manage project budgets. Review vendor quotes and coordinate purchasing activities. Monitor project costs and communicate potential budget impacts. Support efforts to improve efficiency, profitability, and overall project performance. Team Collaboration Work closely with Client Services Managers to understand client goals and project requirements. Partner with creative, production, warehouse, logistics, and technical teams to deliver successful events. Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to process improvements and best practices across the department. Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
Required 3+ years of experience in event production, trade shows, experiential marketing, exhibits, project management, or a related field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools. Familiarity with event logistics, shipping, labor coordination, and vendor management. Experience managing project budgets and schedules. Knowledge of convention center operations and exhibitor services is a plus. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and solutions oriented.
