Full Job Description Position Summary:
This is a REMOTE position - candidates must be located in Norfolk, VA area for occasional onsite visits. National Capitol Contracting (NCC) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support program operations, administrative processes, and cross-functional coordination across a dynamic national enterprise environment. This role serves as a central point of contact for documentation, logistics, communications, and governance activities, ensuring teams have the resources, access, and information needed to operate efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, manages multiple priorities effectively, and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Documentation, support, and processing of CAC, VAR, and shipyard specific clearance / access protocols for program employees Provide records management and tracking for badging and site access Support and process travel and training requests, approvals, and verifications in coordination with NCC's PMO Coordinate vendor training and maintain vendor relationships Serve as a communications and coordination hub for program tasks, logistics, and governance using collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint Organize, track, and distribute work aids, policy guides, and data system or analytic briefs to ensure consistency and transparency across a national enterprise
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (not required to start) Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered 2+ years of experience in project coordination, program support, operations, or administrative management Experience managing documentation, records, and access control processes Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting government, defense, shipyard, or highly regulated environments Familiarity with CAC, VAR, site badging, or security/access procedures Knowledge of travel and training approval workflows within a PMO environment Experience working with vendors and managing external partnerships Exposure to project management methodologies or certifications such as CAPM or PMP Experience creating reports, dashboards, or process documentation

Monday-Friday, 7AM - 2:30PM, with flexibility to meet customer's needs
