This role involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles in the field. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse machinery including industrial machinery and commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal operation and safety across multiple job sites. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical expertise. Perform welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks as needed for equipment repair or modification. Service a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts and tractor-trailers. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to repair or replace components efficiently. Conduct tire service, shocks & struts replacement, alignment adjustments, and brake repairs. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in troubleshooting electrical systems and perform soldering or wiring repairs when necessary. Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice and ensuring timely completion of repairs in the field. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and air brakes. Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting. Experience with fabrication, welding (including TIG/MIG), assembly, and equipment repair. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and trailers. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various outdoor environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex mechanical issues. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel between job sites as required. This position requires a motivated individual who is committed to quality workmanship and safety standards while providing exceptional service across diverse machinery types.Pay:
