$95,000 - $105,000, based on experience and qualifications
Brief Description:
A Project Coordinator for this department shall perform a full array of construction administration across a portfolio of construction projects including: coordination and implementation of construction documentation, managing submittal and change order processes, oversight of preparation and processing of contractor progress payments, reviewing change orders, reviewing project schedules, budgets, engineering drawings, specifications and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, and ensuring that proper document control, quality assurance documentation and construction project records are maintained. Maintains liaison with individuals and agencies within or outside his/her organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to this field. Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.
Examples of work/duties:
Supports project teams with timely and consistent construction administrative and management tasks including but not limited to: bid and award phase services, change control process, submittals, RFIs, prompt contractor payment recommendations, project closeout documentation etc. Support the development of general specifications, project constructability reviews and construction documents package QA/QC process. Ensure documents are reviewed, approved, and distributed in accordance with established workflows, deadlines, and contract terms. Apply document naming conventions, version control protocols, and metadata standards to ensure traceability and consistency. Where appropriate, utilize and maintain document control platforms (SCE's standard project folder directory, Sharepoint, etc.) to ensure accurate, timely document storage and access. Facilitate proactive communication between field teams, office staff, subcontractors, vendors and Clients. Attends project / Client meetings and conducts site visits as needed. Performs technical discipline tasks for Parks & Recreation and/or related projects to include technical design development, detailing and production management including research, reports, design, specifications and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Develops project scope and fee quotations and assists in the organization and preparation of proposals and contracts. Actively serves as a member of SCE's Specification Committee •

Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.): Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field. 8+ years of progressive relevant engineering / construction management experience. Strong understanding of construction project documentation, including shop drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change documentation, and contractor payment requests. Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in Deltek Vision Project Management Software a plus Possess a valid driver's license. This is a full-time position located at Headquarters Office in Flanders, NJ. We are open to discussing this position being based out or our Northeast Office in Hackensack, NJ or our Central NJ Office in Wall, NJ. The work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. SCE offers excellent compensation and benefit packages including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays for this position.
