Job Description
Oversees drafting and engineering workflow from outside engineers through drafting, production and the jobsite in a timely fashion. This position works closely with the Client, Sales, Subcontractors and Production Team to coordinate the over-all design of precast projects in collaboration with Drafting manager and Chief engineer. You must be able to commute into the office in Pittsfield, MA, hybridly. Essential Responsibilities of position include and not exclusive to the following: Oversees the creation of shop tickets through to production dates and ensures the entire project has been completed including parts ordered, tickets drawn, meeting production and quality requirements. Plan, assign, and review the work of the checkers ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism in all interactions. Coordinates the exchange of information between production, drafting, engineering and the job sites. Applies Unistress drafting standards and procedures to each project. Preparation of design submittals in conformance with project specifications, design requirements, Unistress standards and construction codes. Responsible for checking framing and shop tickets for accuracy and conformance with contract documents. Occasional site visits to review progress and detail compliance. Provide viable solutions to technical issues in both the plant and field. Utilize technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, QuickBooks (if applicable), and other productivity tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Skills Proven experience with office management, administrative support, or project coordination roles. Experience in AutoCAD and Revit. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and spreadsheets for data organization. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for front desk duties, client interaction, and team collaboration—bilingual abilities are a plus. Experience with data entry, filing systems, calendar management, and clerical tasks that require high attention to detail. Familiarity with customer service principles and phone communication etiquette to support client support efforts. Technical proficiency in office equipment such as multi-line phone systems and productivity software tools. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and efficiency. Prior experience in personal assistant roles or office experience that demonstrates time management skills.
