Job Title:
Project Manager Job Description The Project Manager will oversee ecosystem restoration construction projects, ensuring high-quality standards in construction cost estimating, contract administration, and construction quality control. The role includes overseeing post-construction monitoring and ensuring adherence to project-specific performance standards, particularly in stream restoration projects. The Project Manager will successfully manage client programs and individual ecosystem restoration projects with a strong focus on detail and quality. Responsibilities Provide ecosystem restoration construction oversight, including cost estimating, contract administration, and quality control. Oversee post-construction monitoring, ensuring adherence to project-specific performance standards. Manage client programs and individual ecosystem restoration projects with attention to detail and quality. Handle permitting processes effectively in PG and Montgomery County. Essential Skills Project management expertise in ecology, stream restoration, and ecosystem restoration. 8+ years of experience in stream restoration or a WRE focused engineering in MD. 1+ year experience in business development or a strong desire to engage in it. Proficiency in ecological risk assessment software and construction management. Strong skills in budget preparation, cost estimating, and technical writing. Experience with ecological restoration, stormwater/NPDES/MS4 programs, and climate resiliency. Additional Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of experience in designing, permitting, constructing, maintaining, and monitoring nature-based projects. Experience in developing technical approaches for nature-based solutions and ecosystem restoration projects. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate staff, partners, and stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and understanding of the ecosystem services industry. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent organization, presentation, oral, and written communication skills. Work Environment The role requires some field travel to visit ongoing and future projects. The rest of the work will be based out of the office. The team is passionate about wetland and stream restoration and improving the Chesapeake Watershed. The environment is tight-knit, with a strong team atmosphere, expecting hard work and dedication. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Green Vest employees are extremely passionate about wetland/stream restoration and improving the Chesapeake Watershed.
