Job Description:

Project Manager (Mid) | Utilities / Civil Construction We're looking for a Mid-Level Project Manager to join a utility-focused organisation supporting electric, gas, and water infrastructure projects across the West Suburban Illinois region. This hybrid role is ideal for a hands-on PM with civil or utility construction experience who enjoys both office collaboration and field engagement.

What You'll Do:

Lead 10-12 utility and civil construction projects from initiation through closeout Develop and manage project scope, schedules, milestones, and resources Prepare and maintain monthly project forecasts and cash flow projections Review and evaluate contract proposals and bids Read and interpret civil and utility construction plans Monitor budgets, risks, progress, and quality to ensure on-time delivery Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders Conduct project meetings, site walkdowns, and status reporting Maintain accurate project documentation and support PM best practices

What You Bring:

3+ years of Project Management experience Background in Utilities (Electric, Gas, Water), Civil Construction, or Engineering Experience working on utility installation or relocation projects Strong experience with project forecasting and monthly cash flows Contract and bid review experience Proficiency in Excel Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a Technical field, or Project Management Willingness to drive frequently to West Suburban Illinois project sites (Rockford, Elgin, Aurora, DeKalb, Freeport, Crystal Lake, etc.) ????

Pay:
