Program Manager Job Description:
The Program Manager is the highest accountable owner of complex, multi-faceted delivery engagements. This role leads a portfolio of two or more related projects sharing a customer account, product family, or strategic theme, or a single enterprise-scale engagement of exceptional complexity, duration, or strategic significance. The Program Manager ensures on-time delivery, budget adherence, scope compliance, and outstanding customer satisfaction across all program components. Operating at an executive level with customers and internal stakeholders, the Program Manager drives program-level KPI performance, leads cross-functional coordination across all contributing teams, and takes a leading role in defining and advancing the Production System (APS) and PMO infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Lead a portfolio of complex projects or a single enterprise-scale engagement. Ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and scope compliance. Maintain outstanding customer satisfaction across all program components. Drive program-level KPI performance and lead cross-functional coordination. Define and advance the Production System (APS) and PMO infrastructure.
Essential Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience in leading large-scale engineering, manufacturing, or automation projects or programs. PMP certification. Proven experience managing programs involving multiple concurrent Design Build (DB) and/or Build to Print (BTP) projects. Proven track record of delivering programs on time, within budget, and to scope. Strong understanding of program and project management processes, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration. Extensive experience navigating complex technical discussions to understand dependencies and control project scope boundaries. Exceptional organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Executive-level customer communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience leading and aligning teams in a matrix environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and ERP/MRP systems. Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes. High integrity, professionalism, and demonstrated time management discipline.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with the Production System (APS) or similar stage-gate project methodologies. Experience in automation, electromechanical systems, industrial equipment, or manufacturing. Experience with Encompix ERP. Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight and air travel. Work Environment This position requires onsite presence 3-4 days a week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
