Verveba Telecom Position Summary Verveba Telecom is seeking an experienced Project Manager
  • Data Center & Telecom Infrastructure to lead complex data center, fiber, low-voltage and network infrastructure projects across the United States.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for project delivery from mobilization through installation, testing, customer acceptance and closeout. The ideal candidate will have experience across Data Centers, OSP/ISP fiber infrastructure, Central Offices (CO), MTSO facilities and other mission-critical telecom/network environments , with a strong understanding of BICSI practices and industry installation standards. The Project Manager will serve as the primary operational interface between the customer, Verveba leadership, field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, procurement and recruiting teams , ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, manpower, quality, safety and customer expectations. The position can be remote; however, frequent travel and onsite presence are required based on project needs, particularly during mobilization, critical execution phases and customer escalations. Key Responsibilities Project & Customer Management Own assigned projects from kickoff and mobilization through customer acceptance and closeout. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers. Understand SOWs, drawings, specifications, schedules and acceptance requirements. Translate technical requirements into executable field plans. Lead project kickoff, customer meetings and internal operational reviews. Manage scope changes, risks, dependencies and customer escalations. Maintain proactive and professional communication with customers. Field Operations & Execution Coordinate daily execution with supervisors, leads, technicians and subcontractors. Ensure field teams clearly understand the SOW, drawings and daily production targets. Maintain onsite leadership during critical project phases. Track production against schedule and committed milestones. Identify field constraints and drive issues to resolution. Coordinate installation, splicing, testing, remediation, commissioning and closeout. Ensure Verveba independently manages its personnel rather than relying on the customer for day-to-day workforce management. Workforce & Resource Management Develop manpower plans based on scope, schedule and productivity requirements. Coordinate ramp-up and ramp-down of field resources. Manage technicians, working leads, supervisors and subcontractors. Verify workforce readiness, including PPE, training, certifications, tools and site requirements. Maintain accurate daily attendance and crew rosters. Address performance, attendance and field issues promptly. Coordinate tooling, test equipment, materials and other project resources. The Project Manager does not need to personally perform every technical activity but must have sufficient technical knowledge to manage the work, challenge field teams when necessary, validate progress and communicate credibly with customer engineering and operations teams. Project Controls & Reporting Daily manpower, attendance and production reporting EOD project reports and next-day execution plans Planned-versus-actual production tracking Project schedules, milestones and look-ahead planning Labor-hour, overtime and productivity tracking Budget and cost-performance monitoring Change-order and additional-work documentation Material, equipment and tooling coordination Risk, issue and action-item management Timesheet and customer approval management Testing records, redlines, QA/QC and closeout documentation Safety & Quality Maintain strong safety and quality standards across field operations. Ensure compliance with customer-specific PPE, OSHA and site requirements. Ensure installations follow applicable BICSI TIA/EIA, customer and project-specific standards . Coordinate quality inspections and workmanship reviews. Manage punch-list and remediation activities through final acceptance. Required Qualifications 5+ years of project management or field operations experience in data centers, telecom, fiber infrastructure, low voltage or mission-critical construction. Experience with OSP and ISP infrastructure . Experience working within Data Center, Central Office, MTSO or similar critical network facilities . Working knowledge of
BICSI TIA/EIA
standards and installation practices . Demonstrated experience managing technicians, supervisors and subcontractors. Strong understanding of fiber and structured cabling infrastructure. Ability to interpret SOWs, drawings, floor plans and technical documentation. Strong customer-facing communication and leadership skills. Experience with manpower planning, scheduling and production management. Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the United States . Preferred Qualifications BICSI certification such as RCDD, RTPM, TECH or Installer is highly desirable. PMP certification is a plus. OSHA-10 or OSHA-30. Hyperscale or large data center experience. Central Office / carrier network infrastructure experience. Experience managing 20-100+ field resources . High-count fiber, ribbon splicing and advanced fiber testing experience. Experience with rack & stack, EF&I or network equipment deployment. Experience managing multi-site or multi-market programs.
