  • Packaging Industry As a Project Manager at Berkley, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our programs not only meet but exceed our customers' expectations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, naturally curious, and customer-focused, with a proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. Your primary responsibility will be to drive operational excellence, strategy, and process improvement across complex, multi-component projects in manufacturing and distribution environments. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and work within our Sales Operations Team. Strong organizational and creative project management skills are essential, as you will often need to navigate ambiguity and take the lead to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
    Client Communication:
    Lead direct communication with Berkley customers and clients, ensuring seamless alignment between Sales, Creative, Production, and Vendors for successful project execution.
      Timeline Management:
      Create and manage project timelines and milestones while supporting the creative development process for Berkley's customers.
        Project Oversight:
        Oversee and track all project phases and deliverables from inception to final delivery, ensuring timely communication of progress to stakeholders.
          Quoting Materials:
          Responsible for obtaining and managing quotes for all necessary materials in collaboration with vendor partners to complete programs effectively.
            Project Status Management:
            Maintain and update the Project Status Workbook, assigning responsibilities and tracking progress on all projects.
              Proposal Collaboration:
              Partner with Sales Representatives to develop proposals and costing sheets, ensuring accurate margin calculations and comprehensive project details.
                Workflow Planning:
                Collaborate with Sales, Customers, Vendors, and Design to establish project calendars, plan workflows, and secure necessary resources across teams.
                  Milestone Establishment:
                  Set key milestones for stakeholder reviews, facilitating feedback and adjustments as needed.
                    Vendor Management:
                    Identify and manage external resources and vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality outputs and on-time delivery.
                      Proof Review:
                      Review vendor proofs throughout all creative and production stages to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
                        Transportation and Logistics:
                        o Manage routing for 'collect' orders within customer/retailer portals. o Arrange transportation with carriers for 'prepaid' shipments. o Create Bills of Lading (BOL) as required. o Communicate any delays or changes in delivery schedules promptly.
                          First Article Approvals:
                          Complete First Article Approvals for all programs fulfillment projects to ensure compliance with standards.
                            Production Work Orders:
                            Create detailed production work orders to clearly communicate all project requirements to the production team.
                              Process Improvement:
                              Develop and implement standardized tools and processes to drive consistency and enhance operational effectiveness.
                                Status Reporting:
                                Prepare comprehensive status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant project information for stakeholders.
                                  Cost Tracking:
                                  Process invoices and monitor costs across multiple budgets and projects to maintain financial oversight.
                                    Post-Program Review:
                                    Lead post-program meetings with vendors and ensure completion of the post-run checklist for all projects.
                                      Inventory Management:
                                      Research and initiate necessary inventory adjustments to maintain accuracy. Ideal Candidate
                                      • Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating agility and resourcefulness.

                                      • Has experience with WM and Costco's supplier requirements and best practices. o Has experience working with major retailers (e.g., Costco, Walmart, Target), including shipping requirements, ASNs, and EDI. o Exhibits a collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a willingness to support and uplift team members. o Coachable and comfortable helping or training others when needed.

                                      • Experience in the corrugate packaging industry is a plus but not required, as long as core skills are transferable. Qualifications
                                      • Minimum of 2 years in project management within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
                                      • Familiarity with Bills of Material, production planning, and work order creation processes.
                                      • Strong writing, communication, and negotiation skills to foster collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
                                      • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and support.
                                      • Experience with Business Central / Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
                                      • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
                                      • Ability to commute to the office.
