Job Description

Senior Project Manager - Data Center Projects (Structural Steel) We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data center projects from the structural steel subcontractor side. This is a unique opportunity to join a top-tier, privately held company with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the contiguous U.S., while contributing to some of the most high-profile projects in the industry.
Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of structural steel projects, including scheduling, coordination, and on-site construction activities. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with contractual requirements while serving as a key liaison between clients, field teams, and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of project execution from preconstruction through closeout Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (drawings, fabrication, procurement, and erection) Coordinate work between fabrication shops, field teams, and subcontractors Track project costs, payments, change orders, and back charges Oversee and support Project Managers, including training and performance guidance Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders Negotiate scope changes and support business development efforts Monitor project progress, milestones, and potential risks to cost or schedule Conduct site visits, review field reports, and ensure safety compliance Assist with estimating efforts as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 5-7+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, erection, and project management Prior experience managing large-scale projects, preferably data centers Strong knowledge of AISC and OSHA standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
