MANN+HUMMEL USA, INC.
seeks a Senior Innovation Project Manager for full-time position located in Raleigh, NC to lead and manage complex Innovation Projects (Study, Incubation, Acceleration) for company providing filtration products and solutions to a variety of industries. Main Tasks Manage projects during all phases (study, incubation, acceleration) of the Innovation Process, from analyzing initial ideas with studies to planning and executing Market Entry for proven concepts. Oversee and coordinate Innovation Projects (product feasibility, strategic alignment, market, and sustainability) to generate ideas and develop them into market-ready solutions. Oversee the development, engineering, and market entry of innovative solutions (products, services, business models). Serve as the voice of the customer, implementing feedback in all stages of the Innovation Process. Use advanced waterfall, agile, and combined project management tools to manage milestones, resources, budget, and technical status including time, quality, and cost. Manage intellectual property work, including completing patent applications for ideas generated, performing patent research/analysis and freedom to operate, and developing patent strategies to ensure optimal protection of IP generated during projects. Oversee and direct the documentation and execution of lessons learned for continuous improvement. Coordinate cost analysis and detailed cost calculations of technical concepts. Present results and propose decisions in front of stakeholders and upper management. Mentor and guide Innovation Project Managers. Identify potential areas for innovation based upon emarket trends, voice of the customer, strategic initiatives, and corporate or business unit strategies. Initiate open innovation, networking, and collaboration with customers, suppliers, universities, and expert committees. Define and track department Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Objectives and Key Results (OKR). Your Profile Education Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or closely related field Experience Requires 18 months of experience as an Innovation Project Manager, Advanced Development Intern, or closely related occupation, in the air filtration field.
Must have experience with:
Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project management; Technological, Business Innovation, and System understanding in filtration and separation processes; Developing complex innovation projects, including involvement with initial study to incubation phases for air filtration devices; Transportation related product development innovation; Mentoring students and peers in support of innovation projects.
