Job Description

CONNECTICUT GREEN BANK UNDERGRADUATE SUMMER ASSOCIATE, FINANCING PROGRAMS SUMMARY
: The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking an undergraduate student to join its Financing Programs team as a Summer Associate focused on supporting the Solar Marketplace Assistance Program Plus ("Solar MAP+") for Summer 2026. The Summer Associate will support the implementation and daily operations of the Green Bank's Solar MAP+ team, which manages a portfolio of solar projects across Connecticut. The Summer Associate will contribute to a range of activities including portfolio analysis, project administration, and data management. Responsibilities will include organizing and reviewing customer and project information, supporting performance and savings tracking for existing solar projects, and assisting with maintaining accurate records across internal tools and document management systems. The Summer Associate will also support ongoing efforts to improve team processes and data systems, helping ensure efficient and effective project operations. Through this work, the Summer Associate will gain professional experience in clean energy project operations, data analysis, project coordination, and business systems management, while developing transferable skills in organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and supporting teams through process and technology improvements. The Green Bank is a quasi-public authority and the nation's first state-level "Green Bank," leveraging public funds to increase and accelerate private investment in the green economy of Connecticut. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
: Individual responsibilities may include: Learning about and supporting the ongoing operations of Green Bank's Solar MAP+ Program, including portfolio management and project administration; Reviewing and organizing customer, contractor, and project documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy across active solar projects; Supporting portfolio analysis efforts, including tracking system performance, production, and customer savings across installed projects; Creating, updating, and maintaining data records in the Green Bank's Salesforce system; Assisting with data quality assurance and process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and reporting accuracy; Interacting with and responding to Solar MAP-related inquiries from internal team members and external stakeholders, as needed; Providing logistical support for team meetings and internal coordination efforts, including note taking and follow-up communications; and, Other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
: The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill, and ability are required: Applicants must have a strong and demonstrated interest in clean energy deployment and/or policy through their coursework, work experience, and/or extracurricular activities; Strong analytical, general quantitative analysis, and Excel skills; Experience working with Salesforce is preferred, or a demonstrated willingness to learn; Ability to work efficiently on assigned tasks independently; Creative problem-solving abilities and a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results in a challenging, fast-paced environment; Strong communication and engagement skills, including writing and the ability to read and communicate with internal colleagues and external partners; Strong organizational and time management skills, with the initiative and ability to multitask and work with a team.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
: We are seeking a highly motivated spring 2026 graduate or current matriculant in a Bachelor's program relevant to clean energy, government administration, environmental science, or data management and analysis. The selected candidate will have aptitude for analytical and data-oriented tasks, strong problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
: This position reports to the Director of Financing Programs, Solar MAP+. This is a hybrid role split between a minimum of two (2) days per workweek in the Green Bank's South Norwalk, CT office and remote work. Green Bank internships run between 10-12 weeks from May-August. This is a 40-hour per week opportunity and paid at $25 per hour. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for the duration of the position.
