Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Lead high-impact maritime projects from concept through completion in a role where technical expertise meets hands-on leadership. Requirements & Qualifications:
10+ years of maritime project management experience Strong background in steel vessel construction and shipyard operations Deep knowledge of USCG and Classification Society standards Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and subcontractors Ability to manage complex budgets, schedules, and project lifecycles Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving project environments
Must Haves:
Lead end-to-end execution of steel vessel fabrication projects, including sequencing, material flow, and delivery timelines Act as the primary liaison between ownership groups, regulatory bodies, and internal production teams Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep builds on track Drive collaboration between engineering, production, and subcontractor teams to resolve technical challenges Present project updates, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership Champion safety protocols while maintaining aggressive production schedules Mentor junior project managers and supervisors to elevate overall team capability
Preferred Background & Skills:
Experience working in shipyards or heavy industrial manufacturing environments Background managing multiple concurrent vessel builds or large-scale fabrication projects Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies Strong financial acumen with experience managing project P&L Experience implementing process improvements or operational efficiencies Prior experience interfacing directly with vessel owners or government stakeholders
