To work closely on a daily basis with construction department and project management in order to gather and communicate information between departments in the areas of quality control, safety, project cost, field reporting, new project setup, materials and equipment tracking. Position Summary The SDU-11 Project Controls professional owns the project control processes for schedule, cost, earned value, labor hours, installed quantities, production, productivity, forecasting, and management reporting. The role converts field and business information into complete, accurate, traceable control records and provides timely analysis to project leadership. This position integrates Primavera P6 or the approved project schedule with Excel, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint, Power BI, Vista Viewpoint finance/cost data, and controlled field records, so the project team operates from one authoritative set of information. Authority and Accountability Require timely, complete, and supportable control data from field supervision, Project Administration, procurement, finance, QA/QC, safety, and other assigned contributors. Identify missing, late, inconsistent, or unsupported information and prevent unverified data from being represented as approved project performance. Flag schedule, cost, labor, quantity, production, and forecast variances; recommend corrective actions and escalate material issues to the Site Project Manager. Maintain controlled versions, documented assumptions, approvals, and reconciliation records for project-control deliverables.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Five or more years of project-controls, cost-control, scheduling, estimating, or construction-project reporting experience. DOE, nuclear, industrial, specialty-construction, or other regulated-project experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience with schedule development and updates, cost and labor tracking, quantity and productivity measurement, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. Working proficiency with Primavera P6 or comparable CPM scheduling software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Microsoft Project, Vista by Viewpoint, or comparable systems is beneficial. Ability to reconcile detailed source information, maintain auditable records, explain trends to project leadership, and produce clear written and visual reports. Strong analytical judgment, organization, written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple reporting cycles and deadlines. Ability to satisfy project and Savannah River Site access requirements and complete required site-specific training or credentials.
