Job:
HukariAscendent is seeking a Principal Project Controls Specialist. This role is responsible for the organization, development, implementation, maintenance, and accountability of total project controls, financial analysis, and estimating applications for a complex nuclear facility environment. Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or related area with 5 years of practical experience. Bachelor's degree with 7 years, Associate's degree with 11 years, or high school diploma with 15 years of relevant experience will be considered equivalent.
  • Expert proficiency in automated accounting, cost management, scheduling, and estimating systems.
  • Proficient in development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, and spend out plans.
  • Experience with Primavera and COBRA (required).
  • Strong knowledge of project management and cost and schedule control at the tactical level.
  • Knowledge of operations, maintenance, or project startup and construction.
  • Understanding of CAS/FAR principles.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.
  • Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with
DOE / NNSA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
  • Experience supporting DOE / weapons programs or similar classified project environments.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Site Business systems.
Miscellaneous/Additional Information:
    Work Schedule:
    40-hour work week. Overtime may be required to meet deliverables.
      Area Security Access:
      DOE "Q" clearance required.
        Travel:
        Travel may be required to attend Project Controls Summits in Albuquerque, NM or Kansas City, MO.
        Estimated travel funding:
        $5,000/year. All travel must be pre-approved by procurement.
