Job Description

Senior Project Controls Manager Position Summary The Senior Project Controls Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and overseeing project controls functions, including cost, schedule, risk, reporting, change management, and forecasting across large-scale data center and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Establish and execute the strategic direction of project controls, including cost, schedule, and risk management Lead project controls deliverables requiring cross-functional collaboration Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to project controls teams Facilitate regular team meetings to review progress and drive performance Develop and deliver routine and executive-level reporting, including KPIs and dashboards Prepare documentation for project approvals and governance processes Develop project-level guidelines for chartering and team collaboration Implement and manage project controls procedures across cost, schedule, risk, and change management Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-to-complete evaluations Manage integrated project schedules and track progress against baselines Lead risk workshops, including identification, assessment, and mitigation planning Coordinate project teams to ensure accurate inputs for reporting Support program leadership with strategic planning and performance reviews Monitor and mitigate project risks and opportunities Manage change control processes, including impact analysis, approvals, and integration into forecasts Maintain and communicate change logs and registers Ensure compliance with internal governance, financial procedures, and controls Utilize project controls systems and tools effectively Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, cost management, quantity surveying, or a related field Advanced degree preferred 12+ years of project controls experience Experience managing high-performing teams, preferably in a consulting environment Strong understanding of various contract delivery methods Proven success in cost control, scheduling, estimating, and risk management Experience implementing project controls systems for large capital projects Ability to establish and manage project baselines and performance metrics Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Knowledge of industry standards, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills Minimum Requirements 10+ years of experience in project controls for large construction or infrastructure projects Strong expertise in cost engineering, scheduling, risk, and change management Ability to analyze complex data and communicate actionable insights Strong stakeholder management and team coordination skills Accountabilities Timely and accurate reporting across cost, schedule, risk, and change Alignment of project performance with approved budgets and schedules Effective identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks and changes Working Conditions Combination of site and office-based work Approximately 30% travel required Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed On-call availability may be required depending on project demands Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Roof Consultant Project Manager
