Responsibilities As a Project Manager, you are the driving force behind every phase of a capital project. Your mission is to maximize project value by ensuring it stays within budget, meets deadlines, and achieves the required operability. You plan and execute studies and capital projects to meet specific objectives, all while interacting with operations, technology, business, and other corporate support organizations. Engaging with senior management is also a key part of your role, making your leadership essential to the project's success.Manage Capital Projects:
Oversee all phases of capital projects and studies, ensuring they meet schedules, budgets, and customer requirements.Resource Coordination:
Secure and manage resources for project implementation, from concept to start-up, direct the development of necessary engineering documents, and ensure involvement of appropriate personnel from Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (EPCOM).Project Monitoring and Reporting:
Collaborate with Project Controls to track progress, report deviations, and communicate future work projections.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with various organizations to develop and implement project execution strategies and ensure compliance with contractor agreements.Strategic Planning and Evaluation:
Develop annual capital plans, manage expenditures, and evaluate project performance, promoting best-value practices and continuous improvement.Risk Management:
Regularly evaluates & mitigates issues that create project risk to meeting project objectives. Proactively anticipates those issues and develops mitigation plans. Qualifications- Minimum of a BA or BS degree (Engineering preferred)
- 10 years of experience in various aspects of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) process or appropriate comparable experience.
- Solid understanding of the (FEL) front-end-loading capital process, from project definition through plant start-up.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and team leadership skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and to implementing safe capital facilities.
- Must be able to travel as needed based on project needs. Travel is estimated at 25% but could occasionally be 50% What Will Make You Stand Out
