Job Description

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Jericho Project is a post-disposition and jail diversion strategy for people diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Co-occurring Disorders. Alliance is partnered with the Public Defender s Office since 1995 to provide intensive outpatient treatment that includes a psychiatrist and/or nurse practitioner, therapist, recovery support specialists, and case manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
: Performs clinical and administrative supervision of program staff. Reports to Grants Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING
Master s Degree or higher in a mental health or r elated area, or a Registered Nurse with Certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse. Knowledge of management and organization, and knowledge of the professional disciplines. Training and/or experience in the administration of mental health programs.
COMPETENCIES
Demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability. Ability to work with conflicting or competing demands or interests of clients, employees, sponsors in the distribution of work, evaluating work and good program effectiveness. Demonstrated Individual judgment in patient assignment and case disposition, and in program administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide clinical and administrative supervision to therapists and recovery support specialist, including oversight of service delivery, documentation standards, team coverage, and coordination of leave. Collaborate with internal staff and external providers/partner agencies to support continuity of care and program operations. Support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in accessing and maintaining daily living needs, housing, transportation, food and vocational resources. Develop and oversee comprehensive service plans in collaboration with clients, jail division staff, and other interdisciplinary team members. Coordinate with jail diversion roundtable and community partners to identify, develop, and strengthen resource networks. Participate in community outreach, awareness initiatives, and partner committee meetings. Manage and complete financial reporting related to Jericho program monthly expenses.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: 1. Serves as the system s administrator; plans, implements, and manages system programs; develops and recommends staffing plans for system programs; manages operations of programs; coordinates program operations among Program Directors; conceptualizes and recommends new system programs; attends Center management meetings to recommend clinical practice procedures. 2. Performs personnel functions; reviews for approval requests for sick and annual leave; reviews for approval requests for overtime; recommends personnel actions (hiring, firing, promotions); sign time sheets; schedules working hours for personnel. 3. Reviews for approval requisitions for office and operational supplies; authorizes requisitions for office and operational supplies; monitors petty cash funds; reviews system client generated income reports. 4. Monitors cleanliness, maintenance and repairs of facilities and immediate environs, schedules facility operating hours; monitors facility security procedures. 5. Supervises systems clinicians and their clinical work; performs clinical and administrative supervision in groups and individually; reviews client-related data and judgments made there from for accuracy and appropriateness; ensures that clients are clinically staffed and treated; makes case assignments based on Clinical recommendations; reviews clinical dispositions and treatment of patients; ensures that clients are followed-up for treatment; coordinates client transfer to/from inpatient hospital units; notifies clinician of patient admission to a hospital for psychiatric purposes; chairs staff meetings to receive and disseminate client-related information and to interpret Center, State, and federal policies for compliance and follow-up purposes. Personal effectiveness as a mental health professional. 6. Markets system s services plans marketing strategies for the system; establishes and maintains relationships with other organizations, agencies and individuals to develop system programs, writes grants. 7. Transmits to all subordinate staff the mission, goals, and objectives of the Center as they are applicable to their programs. 8. Is familiar with existing Center contracts with external organizations, standards for performance, etc. and communicates such to other subordinate staff. 9. Supervises and causes to be maintained such physical facilities and equipment as are assigned to the programs under their supervision. 10. Performs other duties as requested.

Ability to establish and maintain strong positive interpersonal relationships with subordinates and supervisors. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with community members, executives of other agencies.
