As the Lead Project Manager, Technology, you will coordinate and lead project work and team members to deliver information technology projects with agility. What you'll do on a typical day: Use agile methodology to deliver IT solutions through researching, planning, communicating and coordinating across the IT team and other departments Manage IT projects through the application of generally accepted project management principles and GXO Project Management methodology, including agile project management Facilitate resources and timetables to complete IT projects Coordinate geographically dispersed project teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development, business onboarding projects and other tasks Conduct system audits of implemented technologies through data analysis and writing complex SQL statements Recommend IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identify problems, assess trends and anticipate requirements Forecast requirements to accomplish financial objectives; prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures and research variances What you need to succeed at
GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience 4 years of experience in the application of agile project management methodology in data management, data warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) projects in the retail, logistics or supply chain industries Experience with testing the quality of data produced by project teams, researching data and effectively explaining results to business analysts Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scope Demonstrated ability to write proficient SQL queries for relational databases, research data and assess data quality Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools Solid understanding of retail, logistics and supply chain It'd be great if you also have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 5 years of experience as an IT project manager
PMP, CSM, NRF
Retail or Supply Chain certifications Ability to work independently, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment Solid business acumen and understanding of business drivers and issues surrounding a project Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; solid risk management skills Ability to negotiate and build consensus with various groups We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
