Project Manager

Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commercial roofing projects from start to completion. This role ensures all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with high quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, hands-on industry experience, and excellent project management skills. Key Responsibilities & Duties Project Oversight Manage and direct daily production activities for commercial roofing projects Ensure work is completed according to schedule, contract requirements, and industry standards Develop and maintain production schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines Team Leadership Lead, train, and supervise on-site crews, subcontractors, and support personnel Foster a team environment that prioritizes safety, quality workmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement Resource & Budget Management Develop, manage, and adjust project budgets and schedules Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of roofing materials and equipment Track project costs and expenses to ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution without sacrificing quality Quality & Safety Compliance Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, safety policies, and industry best practices Conduct routine site inspections and quality control checks Identify and correct deficiencies promptly to maintain standards and client satisfaction Stakeholder Coordination Communicate and collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors Provide clear updates regarding project timelines, progress, and challenges Prepare and present progress reports and performance metrics to senior leadership Risk Management Identify potential project risks related to schedule, cost, or safety Implement proactive solutions to minimize delays, rework, or cost overruns Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate and complete project documentation Prepare progress reports and present updates to internal and external stakeholders Position Requirements & Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing project management or a related construction role Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and industry best practices Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience managing customer expectations and resolving issues professionally Comfortable working at heights and safely using ladders or elevated access equipment Combination of office-based duties and on-site supervision at project locations Exposure to varying weather conditions during site visits Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines Preferred Skills & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour certification Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
