Industrial Construction | EPC | Mission Critical | Data Centers Position Summary The Mechanical Project Manager will lead mechanical construction activities for a large-scale hyperscale data center project. This position oversees project planning, field execution, staffing, subcontractors, scheduling, procurement, cost control, client communication, commissioning support, and project closeout. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex mechanical scopes, including HVAC, chilled water, process piping, plumbing, fire protection, equipment installation, commissioning, and startup. Responsibilities Lead mechanical construction activities from project kickoff through turnover and closeout. Manage HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, fire protection, equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities. Coordinate mechanical work with engineering, electrical, structural, civil, controls, commissioning, owners, and subcontractors. Manage project schedules, budgets, labor productivity, cost forecasts, procurement, and change orders. Oversee subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, progress, and contract requirements. Serve as the primary client contact for mechanical project execution and issue resolution. Promote job-site safety and ensure work meets project specifications, codes, quality standards, and client requirements. Lead inspections, testing, punch-list completion, commissioning support, turnover documentation, and final acceptance. Provide leadership and support to superintendents, coordinators, field engineers, foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors. Required Qualifications 8-15 years of industrial or commercial construction experience. At least 5 years of experience managing mechanical construction projects. Demonstrated experience managing mechanical systems such as HVAC, chilled water, cooling towers, process piping, utility piping, plumbing, pumps, heat exchangers, fire protection, and mechanical equipment. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, labor productivity, procurement, subcontractors, and change management. Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods, industrial piping, hydrotesting, commissioning, contract administration, and quality control. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation. Strong leadership, communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on active construction sites, walk extensive job sites, climb stairs and ladders, wear required PPE, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor facilities, manufacturing plants, LNG facilities, chemical plants, oil and gas facilities, power generation, or pharmaceutical facilities. Previous experience working for an EPC contractor. Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, BIM coordination, or similar construction software. OSHA 30 or OSHA 10 certification. NCCER certification. PMP or CCM certification. First Aid/CPR certification.
