Reviews and oversees plan packages submitted by consultants.
Coordinates design work among TxDOT entities, consultants and contractors.
Reviews and compiles complete plan packages for submission to the responsible engineer or architect for review and signature.
Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
The additional essential duties for a Design Project Coordinator III or IV include:
Develops and prepares consultant work orders and agreements.
May lead project or planning activities of professional and technical employees or consultants.
Receives project assignments, determines work requirements to complete project plans and coordinates scheduling to accommodate projects already underway.
The additional essential duties for a Design Project Coordinator IV include:
Serves as lead worker and subject matter expertDesigns projects, making design calculations and sketches of plans, layouts and typical sections.
