Assistant Project Manager Old Trail Properties Bryan, TX Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $80,000 a year 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Computer operation Project engineering Filing Schedule management Construction document control Full Job Description Assistant Project Manager Old Trail Properties | Bryan, Texas Full-Time | On-Site About the Position Old Trail Properties is constructing a new manufacturing facility in Bryan, Texas and is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the construction and startup of the new plant. This person will work directly with the Project Manager and help keep the project organized, documented, and moving forward. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working around a construction site, and very good at following up with contractors, vendors, and internal personnel. Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day construction activities. Track project tasks, deadlines, and open items. Follow up with contractors and vendors on commitments and completion dates. Attend construction meetings and prepare meeting notes and action-item lists. Keep project files, drawings, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and other documentation organized. Update project progress reports. Take photographs and document construction progress. Help coordinate contractor and vendor access to the site. Track equipment delivery dates and installation schedules. Help coordinate equipment deliveries with construction activities. Maintain lists of incomplete work and follow up until items are completed. Assist with purchase orders, invoices, change-order documentation, and project records. Communicate potential delays or problems to the Project Manager. Assist with inspections, equipment installation, commissioning, and plant startup as needed. Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager. Qualifications 2+ years of construction, project coordination, project engineering, or similar experience preferred. Construction or industrial experience preferred. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Comfortable working both in an office and on an active construction site. Basic ability to read construction drawings is preferred. Good Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work with contractors, vendors, engineers, and company personnel. Ability to manage multiple open items and deadlines at the same time. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required if the candidate has appropriate construction experience . The most important quality for this position is follow-through . We want someone who keeps track of what needs to be done, who is responsible for doing it, when it is due, and whether it has actually been completed. The Assistant Project Manager should help the Project Manager stay organized and informed so that potential problems are identified early and important items do not get overlooked.
