Job Description
Traveling Project Manager - Data Center Construction A leading commercial contractor is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to support large-scale data center construction projects across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, technically complex builds with a company that has a strong pipeline in the data center and mission-critical space. The ideal candidate is a proven Project Manager with experience in commercial or mission-critical construction who is open to travel and capable of managing projects from preconstruction through completion. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of data center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance
- Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure project alignment
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Travel to job sites nationwide as required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Experience with data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (national projects)
- Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with construction software (Procore, Primavera, MS Project, etc.)
- Stable work history with reputable contractors
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$110,000 - $150,000 per year (based on experience)- Competitive compensation + bonus potential
