Pay:
$60/hr - $64/hr Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Scheduler to support large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. This field-based role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules while supporting project controls functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong Primavera P6 expertise, advanced scheduling knowledge, and experience in earned value management, risk analysis, and project forecasting. Under general supervision, the Scheduler will perform project controls assignments based on their experience and capabilities. As expertise grows, the individual will take ownership of increasingly complex scheduling assignments and provide support for broader project controls initiatives. Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Project Controls Lead the development, maintenance, and analysis of Level III project schedules. Develop detailed project schedules, including fragnet identification, sequencing, and resource leveling. Perform critical path and float analysis to identify schedule risks and opportunities. Monitor schedule performance and provide forecasting for project completion dates. Develop, maintain, and analyze Earned Value Management (EVM) reports. Support project change management activities by assessing schedule impacts resulting from scope changes. Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedule alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Assist in project risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning. Develop an understanding of key cost control processes and their integration with project scheduling. Ensure schedule updates accurately reflect project progress and resource utilization. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software. Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, including network logic, leads, lags, and float analysis. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance measurement. Ability to develop and manage detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) . Experience performing schedule risk analysis, forecasting, and recovery planning. Strong understanding of project change management and schedule impact analysis. Knowledge of resource planning, allocation, and optimization techniques. Understanding of EPC project execution processes and interdependencies across project functions. Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience; OR 6+ years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in a Home Office or Field Office environment without a four-year degree. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Experience supporting large EPC, industrial, energy, utility, or infrastructure projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
