Role Overview We are seeking a driven and technical Factory Project Manager to oversee the New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing of enterprise-grade AI and machine learning servers. You will act as the critical bridge between hardware engineering, supply chain, and the factory floor to ensure complex server racks and GPU clusters are built, tested, and delivered on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Production Oversight:
Manage the end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle of complex AI/ML servers and high-density computing clusters.
Schedule & Milestone Tracking:
Create and maintain complicated production schedules, identifying dependencies, mitigating risks, and managing the critical path for hardware delivery.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Facilitate seamless communication between the Austin-based design teams, global contract manufacturers, supply chain, and quality assurance.
Quality Control & Testing:
Define and monitor production KPIs and SLAs, ensuring all builds meet rigorous hardware and software testing standards prior to shipment.
Resource Allocation:
Oversee project budgets, material forecasting, and factory resource allocation to scale production efficiently.
Basic Qualifications Experience:
3 to 5 years of proven project or program management experience in hardware manufacturing, NPI (New Product Introduction), or complex systems engineering.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of high-performance computing hardware, server architecture, and GPU/accelerator integrations.
Project Management Tools:
Proficiency in scheduling software, issue tracking (e.g., JIRA), and project methodologies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional quantitative and presentation skills with a proven track record of resolving complex manufacturing complications on the factory floor.
