Entry-Level Assistant Project Manager

Overview This is a Entry-Level Assistant Project Manager position, where you will play a vital role in supporting fabrication projects from implementation to completion. This dynamic position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational skills in project management, project coordination, and operations. You will work closely with experienced professionals to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within scope. This paid role is designed for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in the construction industry and gain hands-on experience. Must currently be in the Austin, Texas area. Responsibilities Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules with Project Manager. Support fabrication teams by coordinating daily activities onsite, ensuring adherence to safety and schedule, and ensuring that project timelines and daily goals are met. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and to facilitate accurate project execution. Help prepare and review change orders, and daily progress reports. Participate in inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress tracking. Support project manager to ensure all work aligns with project goals and deadlines. This is an entry level position requiring a Associate's degree. Background in Construction Management, Metal Fabrication, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required. Familiarity with construction site operations or internships in construction environments are a plus. Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast-paced, highly versatile environments while maintaining attention to detail is required.
