Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Project Controls Manager in the Greater Baton Rouge, LA area .
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience considered 12+ years of capital project management and project controls experience Experience supporting large, complex utility capital projects required Strong background in project controls, cost management, schedule management, risk management, and change management Experience working with EPC contractors, engineering firms, or utility organizations Strong analytical, reporting, and business case development skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to provide executive-level guidance and influence project teams
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years supporting large utility capital projects with an EPC contractor or engineering consulting firm PMP Certification Primavera P6 experience Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) experience Monte Carlo risk analysis tools experience Owner and contractor-side project experience
Responsibilities:
Serve as a project management and project controls SME for large capital projects Lead continuous improvement of project controls standards, policies, procedures, and governance processes Conduct independent project assessments, assurance reviews, and stage gate evaluations Review project deliverables, business cases, and project controls documentation for compliance and quality Provide guidance on cost control, schedule management, risk management, change management, and contingency management Support development of project business cases and capital investment decisions Deliver project controls and risk management training programs Analyze project portfolio performance and provide recommendations to improve cost, schedule, and execution outcomes Develop and maintain project reporting, governance, and assurance programs Partner with project teams to drive successful project delivery, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
