Job Description
Under the direction of the Program Director, the 2-1-1 Resource Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of confidential Health and Human Service information, referral, advocacy to the general public and providing guidance and support to Information and Referral Specialists. The 2-1-1 Resource Coordinator ensures that individual and agency performance standards are achieved in accordance with contractual obligations and Inform USA Standards. The Resource Coordinator will also serve as the data and technical expert for 2-1-1 North Texas. This position shall consistently maintain all database records, software and phone systems of the 2-1-1 program according to the accreditation standards set forth by Inform USA. They are also responsible for the research and recruitment of new resources into the Community Resource Database.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Represent United Way in key community organizations by actively participating in meetings/events and playing a key role in advancing the work of the 2-1-1 network as directed by the Program Director.
- Key areas of outreach as directed by the Program Director.
- Oversee daily operations of special/seasonal projects and other special initiatives as appropriate.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the databases, to ensure database information adheres to 211 Texas and Inform USA database policies, procedures and style guides.
- Maintain the North Texas database including research and data entry, to ensure records are updated in an efficient and timely manner. Perform and execute the annual database audit.
- Responsible for creating reports and analyzing statistical data, including: Texas Information & Referral Network (TIRN) Deliverables Report (Quarterly); Annual Call Report (Annual); Seasonal Program Reports.
- Manage/Coordinate other projects as needed, including participation in local, regional and national Information and Referral professional organizations.
- Respond to Disaster/Events following Texas Information & Referral (TIRN) Emergency Management Protocols.
- All other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with community agencies, leaders and planners. 2. Supervisory experience. 3. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/deadlines. 4. Possess assessment skills. 5. Frequent contact by telephone, written communication and in-person with individuals inside and outside the organization require tact, discretion, self-expression and a working knowledge of the organization/program. 6. Knowledge of information and referral practices and procedures. 7. Advance skills in using computer software; including Microsoft Office Excel and Word. 8. Ability to establish and support collaborative efforts. 9. Knowledge of social services and local agencies and programs. 10. Must maintain confidentiality. 11. Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license and liability insurance as required by the State. 12. Promote the North Texas Area United Way's mission and purpose.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred but not required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in direct social services or related responsibilities. Certification for Community Resource Specialist (CRS) and/or Community Resource Specialist - Database Curator (CRS - DC) is required after a year of employment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read reports and use computer. Must be able to hear well to provide I&R services over the telephone. Must be able to write, type, use a calculator and telephone system.Pay:
