Data Center Project Manager- Mandarin Speaking Required About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to oversee and coordinate technical projects within mission-critical data center environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT operations, facility engineering, or building automation, with strong project management skills and the technical expertise to lead project execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor junior team members. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can manage project schedules, resources, vendors, and deliverables while ensuring projects meet operational, quality, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage data center projects from initiation through deployment and completion. Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful delivery. Coordinate with IT operations, facility engineering, vendors, and other stakeholders to align project requirements and execution plans. Lead technical discussions, troubleshoot project-related issues, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members. Oversee the implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning of data center infrastructure, IT systems, low-voltage systems, and building automation technologies. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project quality and timelines. Manage vendor activities, review technical documentation, and ensure compliance with project specifications, operational procedures, and safety requirements. Drive process standardization, technical documentation, and continuous improvement to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency. Support the development of junior team members through technical mentoring, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline. Proven project management experience, preferably in data centers, IT infrastructure, facility engineering, or building automation. Background in IT operations, facility engineering, low-voltage systems, or industrial/building automation. Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical discussions, troubleshoot issues, and guide junior personnel. Familiarity with data center infrastructure, including IT systems, network cabling, low-voltage systems, BMS/EPMS, or related automation technologies. Familiar with Java and Python. Experience with system integration, technical deployment, testing, commissioning, or vendor management is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required; English communication skills are also necessary. Must be able to work on-site in Ashburn, VA.
