Mechanical Project ManagerLocation:
Chesapeake, VACompensation:
$100,000 - $140,000+ (Depends on Experience)About the OpportunityOur client is a well-established and highly respected mechanical contractor serving commercial and industrial clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Position ResponsibilitiesManage commercial mechanical construction projects from award through completion.

Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, billing, and overall financial performance.

Review contracts, plans, specifications, submittals, and project documentation.

Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely project delivery.

Manage procurement and equipment/material buyout activities.

Negotiate and process change orders, RFIs, and project modifications.

Lead project meetings and provide ongoing communication regarding project status.

Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards.

Support business development efforts by maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications3+ years of Project Management experience within the mechanical construction industry.

Experience managing HVAC, piping, plumbing, and/or design-build mechanical projects.

Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, and contract administration.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical construction drawings and specifications.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
