Varies by project locationAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Data Center Experience) to lead the day-to-day management and successful delivery of construction projects. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, subcontractor management, procurement, financial reporting, and project closeout.

This position works closely with leadership, project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader and communicator who can manage multiple priorities, make timely decisions, resolve issues, and build productive relationships across all levels of a project organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of contract administration, change orders, procurement, scheduling, owner billing, subcontractor/vendor billing, and financial reporting.

Develop and maintain short- and long-term project plans, milestones, schedules, and deadlines.

Review contracts and maintain a thorough understanding of project scope and contractual obligations.

Delegate responsibilities to project team members based on project requirements and individual strengths.

Coordinate project teams to ensure activities remain aligned and progress efficiently.

Communicate regularly with company leadership to ensure project objectives and priorities remain aligned.

Establish project expectations and monitor team performance to maintain quality standards.

Adjust schedules, priorities, and project targets as project conditions or financing requirements change.

Secure required permits and verify subcontractor insurance coverage.

Facilitate project meetings and coordinate project activities among all stakeholders.

Lead, train, mentor, and develop project team members.

Prepare and submit monthly job status reports outlining project priorities, progress, risks, and issues.

Lead project closeout activities, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final subcontractor payment documentation.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, engineering firms, architects, and design professionals.

Establish project deadlines and continuously monitor progress against the approved schedule.

Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety during project-site visits.

Support business development efforts by participating in marketing activities, proposals, and presentations.

Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and professional project environment.

Project Organization & PreconstructionAssist with developing preconstruction packages.

Establish project milestones and project-specific schedules.

Conduct project planning and coordination meetings.

Coordinate project requirements with internal and external stakeholders.

Assist with project planning and resource allocation.

Subcontractor & Vendor ManagementEstablish and maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships.

Review and approve subcontractor pay applications.

Monitor subcontractor performance and contractual compliance.

Manage subcontractor closeout activities.

Ensure fair and professional treatment of project partners.

Coordinate procurement and material requirements.

Contract & Scope ManagementReview contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project scope.

Identify contractual requirements, risks, conflicts, and potential issues.

Manage change orders and ensure appropriate documentation and approvals.

Maintain awareness of the obligations and responsibilities of all project parties.

Project DocumentationMaintain organized and accurate project records, including:

Contract documentsCertified payrollsDaily reportsTransmittalsSubmittals and submittal logsRFIs and RFI logsIssues listsMaterial orders and tracking logsInvoices and payment documentationProject correspondence and related documentationCost & Financial ManagementFollow established company financial procedures.

Monitor project costs to date and projected costs to complete.

Maintain accurate project forecasts.

Monitor project financial performance against established goals.

Review billing, payment applications, and project financial documentation.

Identify potential cost issues and communicate them to project leadership.

SafetyEnforce project-specific safety plans and requirements.

Maintain clear communication regarding safety expectations.

Promote a strong safety culture across project teams and job sites.

Address safety concerns promptly and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.

Communication & Team LeadershipMaintain consistent communication with clients, owners, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams.

Coordinate office and field activities to maintain project continuity.

Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and other project staff.

Provide guidance and support to project team members.

Promote collaboration, accountability, and professional development.

Required QualificationsBachelor's or graduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or 8-10 years of relevant construction/project management experience.

Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from planning through completion.

Strong knowledge of construction project management, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.

Strong financial, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to make timely and effective decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Ability to remain professional and objective when resolving difficult situations or conflicts.

Strong team-oriented approach with a focus on accountability and results.

PMP Certification is preferred.

Work EnvironmentOffice Environment:
Most work is performed in a professional office environment and involves working with computers, tablets, phones, printers, and other business equipment.
Construction Site Environment:
The position also requires periodic visits to active construction sites, where employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Appropriate clothing and safety equipment will be provided as required.

Physical RequirementsThe position may require:

Work ScheduleConstruction projects often operate under strict deadlines. The Project Manager may be required to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends, particularly during critical or peak construction phases.

TravelTravel requirements vary by project. The position may require visits to project sites located in urban, rural, or industrial areas. Depending on project requirements, overnight travel or travel to remote locations may occasionally be necessary.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Certain projects may require U.S. citizenship based on contract requirements.
