Job Description Reporting to the Director of Capital Planning & Construction, the Renovation Project Manager is primarily responsible managing campus projects up to $3M. The position will manage multiple simultaneous construction projects across all Radford University campuses. Required Qualifications- Education, training, and experience in construction, or a closely related field.
- Experience with the design & construction of complex building and infrastructure projects across diverse building construction methods
- Experience with budgeting, estimating, and financial forecasting
- Experience with construction scheduling, logistics, safety, and QA/QC
- Experience with design/construction documents and building codes
- Experience with contractual expectations and responsibilities
- Skilled in clear, timely, and helpful communication
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and team-building skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with associates, subordinates, contractors, designers, and the university community
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on "state-owned" projects with knowledge of higher education facilities requirements, especially in Virginia
- Experience with the processes and policies of the Commonwealth of Virginia Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM)
- Depth of knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems
- Experience with State procurement laws
- Understanding of Erosion and Sediment Control measures and installation practices with basic emphasis on compliance inspections, reporting, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPP) monitoring
- Experience developing and utilizing databases
- Knowledge of scheduling software, Bluebeam, Project Management Information System platforms (Procore, BIM 360, etc.
